Blackmail story for Janus RP

A multi-player multi-aspect roleplay (one roleplayer can play multiple roles). No pre-scheduled times for roleplay. Depends on who is online. Any player can initiate a scene with another.

Q: So its not like playing out all at once?
A: No, is too long to play it all in one go. The scenes don't need to be played sequentially either. Plus it is impossible to get everyone online at the same time

Background:

27 year old working in a company that publishes a fashion magazine called Runway (circulation in Tokyo, New York and Milan).

In 2008, got into some personal trouble with finances (helping an ex-bf), and decided to "borrow money" from the company to tide over.

Unfortunately, her creative accounting was discovered by someone in the office. Let's call him by initials GS. GS began to use the information he had on her, to control her. He made her do shameful, sexual things that she would otherwise never agree to do. She complied to avoid going to jail. She became his slave for six months. GS loved to humiliate her and make her feel like a cheap slut, sharing her with his friends or even strangers.

One fine day, unable to take it anymore, she packed up and left the company and country. Changed her phone number and everything so nobody would know where she went. She found a new job and new life in Sweden, working in a hotel chain [name/location to be determined]. Things were going well for her for a year in both career and personal life.



CHARACTERS in Grace's life :

1. Current supervisor at work (male) -
Middle aged corporate person. He does not care much for money, so would be hard to bribe. But he is a curious person, especially towards an attractive lady like grace. He starts out with no bad intentions but this may change through the story.

2. Current co-worker (female) - Judy Paris comes from a rich family who has connections to a trustee on the hotel board, but she has to work her way up the corporate ladder to prove herself.

3. Current boyfriend - Mark Akesson works as a financial analyst. In love with grace.

HOW JANUS COMES INTO THE PICTURE
Judy Paris works at the hotel Front Desk with Grace. She is jealous that grace came out from nowhere and now enjoys good performance rating from their supervisor after only working there for short time. Supervisor is thinking of promoting grace to oversee front desk. Every time Judy asks grace about her past, grace would be evasive, so she gets suspicious and decides to get in touch with a corrupt union representative (Gunther) to see if he can help her investigate Grace. Gunther gets in touch with Federico. Later on in the story, supervisor may transfer grace to concierge services, but that is another part of the story.

CLUES
1. Janus investigators can seek out grace's supervisor at the hotel and try to talk to him (probably outside of the hotel) on how she was hired, and the background checks they did on her.
2. That will lead to them visiting a credit agency to request more details which they can examine and piece together some more information on what happened last year.
3. Finally the investigators will break into grace's apartment when she is not in, to try to find something, or possibly plant a spying device.

INTERACTION WITH TARGET & CLIENT
At some point when the Janus investigators believe they have enough to build a case for blackmail, they will initiate contact with the Client directly or through the middle-man. The Client will pay the agency on delivery of the materials, and after review, may decide if she wants the agency to initiate contact with the target / blackmail the target. Alternatively the Client may wish to spring the blackmail on the target herself.

Grace's comments:
-> Chelsea Hotel has a 3-star feel but has actual traffic. There were 5 people at the bar when Suzie was pretending to be bar-tender (her bar top dancing may have something to do with it). Has an office for scene with supervisor.
-> Casablanca Hotel has a grand 5 star lobby. Impressive decor. Would meet the requirements looks wise. But didn't see an office.
-> Rixos Hotel : wouldn't recommend it unless we have a scene which requires a long ballroom / dining area.
